| Woohoo! Got my first paycheck! Feels good earning cash. There's some nice paying jobs on the jobs board, but nothing I'd feel easy doing except more computer help at either SMG or BU LAW. It doesn't pay $10/hour, but at least it's something I'm comfortable with. Besides, I like helping people and meeting new people. Today was the last day of working for Team Resnet, and it was an unveventful day, except for meeting a new friend from Japan.
Anyways, this large group was huge! Sooo many new people, new faces, new names. I probably can only remember a couple of the people, but I'm excited at getting to know them all. Unfortunately, when I get excited in those situations, I get impetuous and overbearing when talking to people. At least, that's what I feel. I hope I'll able to act more calm during those times in the future. And it was great singing worship songs again, letting it all out. I missed the fun and the music a lot. It's great to be back together with the fellowship again.
| Phew! It's been a week since I've returned to Boston almost and it's been lots of fun. I almost forgot how beautiful it is here with nice weather. Sunnyday with light cool breezes good nicely with the view of Charles river with all its trees and sparkle. Work's been fun, helping people with their technical difficulties. I've learned a lot of new stuff about Windows processes, hardware drivers and even about life from working. People have been very nice, co-workers and customers alike. They've been plenty polite and I've been plenty helpful I hope. Strangely, there've been a lot of cute, pretty girls who need help with their computers and I'm more than willing to help them with their problems . I dunno if there's a connection between the large number of pretty girls and them not knowing much about computers or not, but I'm happy with the situation.
My apartment is looking pretty good now after my friend from BU and his friend helping me move my stuff around and helping me unpack. I've almost all of my things in order except for my kitchen, but at least my hall isn't blocked with ugly brown boxes. It's been awesome seeing all of IV again, the Back2BU retreat was great great. Talking and joking around with them has been quite enjoyable, even just chilling with them. Oh and the card and chess games, I love how they concentrate on the games and have that fighting spirit in them. It's the best thing in the world to play games with other people who take the game seriously enough to make the right moves and yet relaxed enough to joke around while playing. Had a good game of chess with Jorge last night, haven't had a good game like that in a while, feels good. Nina played well too, but she kinda thinks too far on some moves. For me, I play by thinking only two or three moves ahead, while thinking of some traps for my opponent, and just waiting for them to make a mistake and acting on that. Well, enough of chess, we also played laser quest that afternoon. I haven't played that in years, and I remember now why I didn't liek it that much. You go around and shoot at anything that blinks red or green while getting shot in the back easily or practically running into people. People who you shoot and you walk away, shoot you in the back anyways although you gave them the courtesy not to just follow them and shoot them after they targets boot up again. And little kids, who don't care at all for rules are wild in that maze. People snipe from little holes in walls and some people just plain camp in a corner... sigh... such a blatant lack of sportsmanship. Anyways, time to pick up my laundry, and then prayer walk. Talk to you all later.
Thank you God for all the friends you have given me and their love. Life hasn't been so great in a long time.
| Training day..
My new Resnet Move-in consultant job requires 2 full days of training. Today was pretty cool, teaching us about connection problems, viruses, spyware stuff, and some customer service care. Tried to absorb as much as I could, but I'm pretty sure some stuff flew straight over my head. Pretty psyched for it though, since I have quite some experience on my own fixing my own internet connection problems as well as spyware stuff. And now I get aid for it, $10/hour! sweeeet cash.. I signed up for interest in working there for the whole year even though the pay isn't as much I expect. At least it's something I guess.
My place is a mess with boxes and bags and a whole lot of crap everywhere. The movers put the bed/couch futon beds in the wrong position as well as my desks.. At least my slave Sam will hopefully be here in Boston soon to help me fix things. After everything gets in order, then I can really get into school and start my goal of working out this year. At least I brought my tennis racket back with me, gonna try to learn all over again. Oh and my skates, I wanna go skating again. But first things first. Gotta buy a new phone charger as well...can't find the old one...sigh..EVERYTHING'S A MESS!
